Group 11 Metals, Gold Chemistry, Silver, Nanoparticles, Carboranes, Lanthanides, d6-Metal Complexes, Luminescence, Cytotoxicity, Antitumorals, Catalysis, Bioimaging.
Our research interests are centered on the design and study of luminescent and biological properties of novel metallic complexes, especially those of group 11. Our aim is to obtain new sensors, OLEDs, biological markers, contrast agents and/or species with bactericidal, antitumoral or anti-HIV activity. The research carried out in our group is mainly divided in the following lines: 1) Light emissive complexes, 2) Biological active species, 3) Complexes for bioimaging applications, 4) Catalysis and 5) Nanoparticles.
